Privacy Policy

Scervi — Your Service. Your Way.

Effective 9 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Scervi collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to your use of the Scervi app and related services. By using Scervi you agree to the practices described here.

1

Who we are

Scervi operates the Scervi marketplace and is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at support@swervi.app.

2

Information we collect

Account and profile details (such as name, email, phone number, and photo); service requests and their details; service and device location; messages and content you exchange through the app; reviews and ratings; Provider business details and verification documents you choose to upload; transaction and payment metadata (we do not store full card numbers — these are handled by our payment processors); and technical and usage data such as device type, app version, and diagnostic logs.

3

How we use your information

To create and manage your account; to match requests with suitable Providers and enable bookings; to enable communication between customers and Providers; to process and confirm transactions; to provide support; to maintain safety, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms; to improve and develop Scervi; and to comply with legal obligations. We rely on the legal bases of performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating a safe marketplace, your consent (where required, such as for precise location), and compliance with law.

4

Location data

With your permission, we use your device location to detect your area and match you with nearby Providers. Your service location is shared with a Provider only as needed to arrange and perform a service. You can control location permissions through your device settings, though some features may not work without them.

5

User-to-user interactions

Scervi is primarily a connector platform. Information you share as part of a request, quotation, chat or booking may be visible to the other party as needed to arrange and perform the service. Avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information, and use caution when dealing with others. You are responsible for what you choose to disclose to another user.

6

How we share information

We share the details necessary to fulfil a request between the customer and the assigned Provider. We share information with third-party processors who work on our behalf — including payment processors, mapping and location providers, and cloud hosting and infrastructure providers — under obligations to protect it. We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. We do not sell your personal information.

7

Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any additional period required to meet legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution and fraud-prevention obligations, after which we delete or anonymise it.

8

Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to notify you of significant incidents where required by law.

9

Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, or delete your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and request a copy of your data. You can manage notification and location permissions in-app or in your device settings, and you can request account deletion. To exercise these rights, contact support@swervi.app. Some data may be retained where we have a legal basis or obligation to keep it.

10

Children

Scervi is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection when transferred internationally.

12

Cookies and browser storage

The Scervi website uses only strictly necessary browser storage (such as local storage) to keep you signed in, keep your session secure, and cache data such as currency exchange rates so pages load faster. We do not use advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not use this storage to follow you across other websites. Because this storage is essential for the site to work, it does not require a consent banner. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings, although you will then be signed out.

13

Payments and financial information

Where a payment is made through Scervi, it is handled by an independent third-party payment processor under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive confirmation and limited transaction details (such as amount, status, date and reference) so we can confirm a transaction and provide support, but we do not store full card numbers, PINs or mobile-money credentials. Payments made directly between a customer and a Provider happen outside our control, and we do not receive or hold that financial information.

14

Provider verification and documents

If you register as a Provider, you may choose to upload business details and verification documents, such as identification or licences. We use these only to review and verify your Provider profile, build trust on the platform, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. Verification documents are not shown publicly. Only the profile details you choose to display, such as your business name, services, photos and ratings, are visible to customers.

15

Reviews, ratings and public content

Reviews, ratings, photos and Provider profile details you submit may be visible to other users and, in some cases, to the public. Your name or display name may appear alongside them. Please do not include sensitive personal information in public content. If you delete your account, we may keep reviews in anonymised form so that the ratings of other users remain accurate.

16

Notifications and communications

We send service-related messages, such as request updates, quotations, booking confirmations, security alerts and policy notices, by in-app notification, push notification, email or SMS where applicable. These are part of providing the service. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings or in the app, though you may then miss important updates. If we send optional promotional messages, you can opt out at any time by following the instructions in the message or by contacting us.

17

Your rights under local law

Scervi is operated from Uganda and offered across supported African countries. Depending on where you live, data protection laws, including the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 of Uganda and the laws of the country where you reside, may give you additional rights or protections. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under those laws. If you believe we have not handled your personal information properly, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

18

Data breaches

If we become aware of a security incident that affects your personal information in a way that is likely to cause you harm, we will take steps to contain it and, where required by law, notify you and the relevant authorities within the time the law requires. We will tell you what happened, what information was involved, and what steps you can take to protect yourself.

19

Third-party links and services

Scervi may contain links to, or let you sign in or pay through, third-party websites and services. These are not operated by us, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third party before you share personal information with them.

20

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Please review it periodically.
