Scervi — Your Service. Your Way.
Effective 9 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Scervi mobile application and related services ("Scervi", "we", "us"). By creating an account, tapping "continue", or otherwise using Scervi, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Scervi.
Scervi is a technology platform and marketplace that connects customers who need a service with independent third-party service providers ("Providers"). Scervi is a neutral intermediary, connector and broker only. We do not perform, supervise, direct or control any service, and we are not the service provider, supplier, employer, agent or guarantor of any service arranged through the platform, and we are not a party to the agreement formed between a customer and a Provider, unless we clearly state otherwise for a specific offering. Providers are independent contractors, not employees, agents or partners of Scervi.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use Scervi. By using Scervi you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is true, current and complete. Scervi is offered across supported African countries; availability, Providers and features may vary by country and region, and we may add or withdraw coverage at any time.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must keep your details — including your name, contact information and service locations — accurate. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You may not share, sell or transfer your account.
When you submit a request, Providers may respond with a quotation stating a fee (or that the fee will be agreed after an on-site assessment) and an expected time of arrival. A booking is a direct agreement between you and the chosen Provider on the terms you accept. You are responsible for reviewing quotations before accepting them. The fee and scope of any service are matters between you and the Provider.
Scervi does not guarantee that any Provider will respond, accept, attend, arrive on time, or complete a request, or that any customer will pay. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, authenticity, pricing, suitability, timing or outcome of any service, or that any Provider or customer will behave honestly. Ratings, distances, "Near Me", "Available Now", ETAs and availability information are estimates and may be inaccurate. You must use your own judgement, checks and caution before making any payment, booking or commitment.
The service fee is set by the Provider and agreed between you and the Provider. Where payments are processed through Scervi, they are handled by third-party payment processors, and the transaction is confirmed by that processor. Never treat a service as paid until you receive confirmation. Scervi may charge Providers subscription or service fees, which are disclosed separately. Where a payment is made directly between a customer and a Provider, that dealing is between those parties and Scervi is not automatically liable for non-performance, overcharging, poor quality, fraud or disputes arising from it.
Fees paid to Scervi for platform services — including Provider subscriptions, promotion, featured placement, boosts and any other paid visibility service — are non-refundable, except where a refund is expressly required by applicable law. These fees pay for access to placement and visibility, treated as delivered once the service becomes eligible to appear, regardless of the number of requests, messages, bookings or results received. Scervi does not guarantee any level of requests, engagement or income from a paid service, and is not obliged to refund fees where a listing or promotion is later removed or restricted for breaching these Terms.
Cancellation and refund arrangements for a service are primarily a matter between you and the Provider and depend on the stage of the service and the Provider's own terms. Because the service contract is between the customer and the Provider, Scervi is not obliged to provide refunds for services it did not perform. Where a dispute arises, you agree to first attempt to resolve it directly with the other party. Scervi may review complaints and take moderation action at its sole discretion, but this does not make Scervi the decision-maker or liable party in a private dispute between users unless required by law.
If you use Scervi as a Provider, you represent and warrant that you hold all licences, permits, registrations, insurance and qualifications required by law to offer your services; that you will perform services safely, lawfully and professionally; and that your listings, pricing and availability are accurate. You are solely responsible for your services, your tax and regulatory compliance, and any harm arising from your work.
You may submit reviews, photos, messages and other content. Reviews may only be left for services you actually received and must be honest and lawful. Reviews and ratings reflect the views of the users who post them, not Scervi, and we do not verify or endorse them. You grant Scervi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and use content you submit for operating and promoting the platform. You are responsible for your content, must only upload content you have the right to use, and must not post anything unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, infringing or harmful. We may remove content or reviews that breach these Terms.
You must not use Scervi for any illegal, fraudulent, harmful, deceptive or abusive purpose. This includes, without limitation: • Fraud: fake requests or offers, non-existent services, advance-fee scams, phishing, or impersonating other people or businesses. • Unlawful or unlicensed services, or services requiring a licence or permit you do not hold. • Harassment, threats, bullying or endangering any person. • Spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or duplicate or misleading listings. • Hate or discriminatory content based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or nationality. • Arranging payments off-platform to avoid fees where prohibited, or scraping, reverse-engineering, overloading, interfering with, or uploading malicious code to the platform. We may remove such content and restrict or permanently ban related accounts, with or without notice.
Scervi may offer identity or document checks, ratings and other trust signals, but these are limited and do not constitute a guarantee, endorsement or full background check of any user or Provider. You are responsible for your own safety and for exercising your own judgement before meeting anyone, sharing information, making a payment, or allowing a Provider into your home or premises. Verify credentials, confirm terms independently, and take sensible precautions.
You understand that using Scervi may involve communicating with, meeting, transacting with, or relying on other users whom Scervi does not employ, control or fully verify. You assume all risk arising from such interactions, including in-person visits, services performed, and payments. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Scervi, its owners, operators, team and affiliates from any claims, demands, damages, losses, injuries or liabilities of any kind, whether direct or indirect, arising out of or connected to your dealings with other users or third parties introduced through the platform.
Scervi relies on independent third-party services to operate, including payment processors, mapping and location providers, authentication, hosting and analytics. When you make a payment it may be handled by an independent processor under its own terms; Scervi does not control that processor and is not responsible for its actions, fees, delays, outages, security or errors. Scervi is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content or conduct of any third-party service or link, and your use of them is at your own risk.
Scervi, its name, logo, design, software and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works without our permission.
Content on Scervi, including Provider listings, descriptions and general information provided by the platform, is for general marketplace and informational purposes only. It is not legal, financial, medical, safety, tax or other professional advice and should not be relied on as such. Seek qualified professional advice before making decisions based on any such information.
Providers and other users are independent parties. Nothing in these Terms creates any employment, agency, partnership, joint venture or franchise relationship between Scervi and any user. Users have no authority to act for, bind or represent Scervi, and Scervi is not responsible for the acts or omissions of any user.
Scervi may change, pause, limit or discontinue parts of the platform at any time. Features may be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, moderation, upgrades, third-party outages or other reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service at all times.
Scervi is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, title, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We do not warrant the conduct, quality, safety, legality or reliability of any Provider, customer or service arranged through Scervi, or the accuracy of location, distance, availability, pricing or rating information.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scervi and its officers, employees and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, reputational or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, injury or property damage, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Scervi or from any service, act or omission of any Provider or customer. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the fees Scervi received from you in the three months before the claim, or USD 50 (or local equivalent).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scervi and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of Scervi, your content, your services, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
Scervi is not liable for any failure or delay in providing the platform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, power or internet failures, network or third-party outages, strikes, war, civil unrest, government action or pandemics.
You are responsible for determining, reporting and paying any taxes, duties or levies that apply to services you provide or receive, or to income earned through Scervi. Scervi does not calculate, collect or remit taxes on your behalf unless it expressly states otherwise.
We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access, listings or account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, or for any lawful operational reason. You may stop using Scervi and request account deletion at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability, indemnity, release and dispute resolution) will survive.
Scervi is operated from the Republic of Uganda and offered across supported African countries. These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda as the platform's home jurisdiction. This does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws and non-waivable rights of the African country in which you reside, which continue to apply to you. We encourage you to first contact us to seek an informal resolution of any dispute. Where formal proceedings are required, they may be brought in the competent courts of your country of residence or, where permitted, in the courts of Uganda. Nothing here limits any right you have under applicable local law.
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Scervi's failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right. These Terms, together with any policies referenced in them (including the Privacy Policy), form the entire agreement between you and Scervi regarding your use of the platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Scervi after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
